Having been in quarantine, I haven't run in two weeks; and have probably put the least amount of stress on my feet this whole year. I've been cross-training, maybe some yoga now and again - thats it.
Tomorrow is my last day of my two week quarantine. The last one. I have been so excited to get out running again; to start a new training plan, and just to get out there!
Today I wake up with acute pain in the top / outside of my left foot. Not normal aches or stiffness, but proper pain. And researching, it's along my 5th metatarsal. I can hardly walk, let alone run Could have have injured myself without realising? I'm not sure, because I can't remember doing anything; especially considering I've basically had two weeks off any impacts! But the pain is definitely not 'normal' pain if you get me. I'm not giving up hope just yet, but have booked to see the doctor Thursday morning so we'll see the damage.
For now I'm icing and praying its fine and I'll wake up tomorrow! eek.
