After a tough few days with family health issues I hadn't gone for a run since Wednesday π’ but this evening Mr LOY invited me to accompany him on a 5k run around local residential streets. Togged up in a long sleeved top and wind proof with thumb loops, leggings and beanie I started up Rod Stewart's Merry Christmas, Baby and off we trot, hubby being kind with the pace. We went up and down hills which is a relatively recent adventure for me, as I used to stick to the practically flat circuit that I used for C25K, and my pace is slower now that I'm being brave and running wherever the fancy takes me! According to my Huawei wristband pace was 7'48"/ Km average heart rate zone 2, so I'm quite pleased with that, and I really enjoy running on quiet, well lit streets at night. As for Rod Stewart it's a laid back album, along the same lines as his American Songbook which I really enjoy π I thought Let it Snow! was the highlight until I got to What Are You Doing New Year's Eve? πΆπ I'm proud of myself tonight for getting out and running, and looking forward to the next run πββοΈπ
