So, I sat at my desk working solidly all day in my running kit. All good intentions .. I was definitely going out for a run today. The option for a lunchtime run passed me by in a blur of Zoom calls. Then my βreasonsβ why I wouldnβt/shouldnβt be going out for a run today popped into my head:
- my whole body is still super tired from the mega strength training session I did on Weds. I really shouldnβt overdo it, perhaps a run tomorrow instead...
- itβll be getting dark soon, not a fan of running in the dark
- Iβm tired now and Iβll be getting hungry soon, I havenβt eaten enough for a run!!
Then I came in here and read of Jerichoβs epic run, and GailX telling me to get out there, get my shoes on, and Peter44 looking forward to my report of my run π¬ eek!
7.2km done boom π₯π₯π₯ Wow that was good and I needed that. New(ish) route, mixed it up, kept it steady but had a few gazelle moments too. The Rolling Stones came on midway βStart Me Upβ yeh baby! I was off... Garmin ran out of juice towards the end but I felt like I was at about 7km so eased off and itβs another run in the bag that so nearly wasnβt!! Thanks so much gang for your encouragement and inspo. Worked a treat!! π¦π¦π¦
