This evening I completed week six. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My last run of the week is always my slowest run. I felt absolutely shattered today following a busy shift yesterday and I nearly did not run today, however, I thought about how disappointed I would feel not being able to complete the plan for Christmas 🎄 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄 week so with that in mind I finally decided to get myself out in the rain at 18:00. 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️I decided I was just going to stay local. To be honest I was just focusing on getting this run done so I can move on to week seven next week. 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️ I must say, I am starting to enjoy running in the dark especially at the moment as it is such a joy looking at the beautiful Christmas trees 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄and lights and makes the run feel magical!!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

My time was 25:50 and my splits were 6:54, 6:17, 5:59 and 6:09. I felt so much better after my run and so pleased that I went out. Feeling soooooo excited to be running into week 7!!!

Happy Running Everyone

Week 6 completed! You are powering through this plan. 👏👏👏👏👏🏆🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️👍

Well done for getting out there, in the dark and rain, after a busy shift! It must have been lovely to see all the Christmas lights, though, to give you a lift as I know this third run is an effort for you. Now you can look forward to week7 😊👍

So proud of you for your determination to get to your goal! 🥰

Oh well done for getting out there in the rain and dark...and after a busy work week!

I feel a total wimp now...I *really* am a fair weather runner, it was so dark and miserable all day...I just couldn’t face it...not even to complete W6 🙄😬

I’ll *have* to go out tomorrow though, or else it will totally mess with my runs for the week 😖

Week 7...bring it on! 👊

Thank you so very much Julia that is so kind of you.

Yes I must say I do find the last run of the week really challenging. It always seems to fall after either one or two long shifts so I always leave the shortest distance till the last one!!

Take care

Rebecca

Sometimes I wish I was working as it would give me a focus, but other times the fact that I’m not gives me freedom to go on longer runs whenever I feel like it! Or stay in bed longer (like this morning). 👍 x

Yes, I must say I find it good to have something to focus on during these difficult times, plus the running has helped me so much as well.

That is lovely. So nice to have that freedom.

Well done for getting out there and completing W6 😍😍😍😍😍😍

I really had to push myself to get out today too. I did a Power Yoga zoom session this morning, and then, as if by magic, I felt I had the energy to run. I had to do my 9k today and found the 60min NRC with Couch B. For some reason my Strava didn't record for the first 1.5k or so, so I'm not actually sure how far I ran - I think it was 8.5k, but is was my first ever 60min run, so I was happy with that. Still a bit off 9k, but I felt like I could have carried on as there was still a little left in my tank as I took it slowly.

Must to 9k next week to get to 10k by Christmas! 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

I really am determined!!!! Let's smash it - you're nearly there!!!

Brilliant effort in the dark and rain. Great times. As you say, just get through the run on days like this, you know you are capable of fantastic times when you are fresh. Happy running 🤗
