week 1 of Ju Ju’s plan complete

Not a great week re my running mentality but got through it, which just proves even when it’s hard to be positive, and I don’t really know why, running is still possible, if not quite as enjoyable. I hope it’s a passing phase that’s probably linked to work pressures. It also demonstrates how a structured programme really works for me. Thank you Ju Ju.

Whoop whoop, first week done, are you doing time for distance? I did that plan, first timed then distance, enjoy yourself. It's not always easy with pressures of work and life so be proud

Thank you. I’m just doing distance. Does that make sense? Is that a proper option?

The plan is brilliant for me. When work / life play on your mind but you manage to get out of the door .having a plan to make the decisions for you like how far/long to run is such a bonus.

Happy running 🏃‍♀️

Very well done you... easy to run when it feels easy, but much harder when it doesn't !

This plan works... first time... wonderful and for s many of us who have repeated it ( more than once too), it still works. A structured sensible plan... and one that is fun too.

On you go!

I loved this plan, are you doing time or distance? I stuck with time after ct5k but when I got to 60 mins switched to distance to try and get to 10k. Good luck!

hi, I’m doing distance as I’m not running 5km in 30 minutes. I’m doing 5km from 31.15 to 33 mins. Also I’ve learnt from experience and advice from people here that running too fast has been my ‘Achilles’ heel….literally! I’m focused on trying to stay injury free and by running slower I’m enjoying it more.

I could never do 5k in 30 mins either. The fastest I’ve managed was 31:48 but that wasn’t comfortable. I think the more we run easily and consistently the speed will come anyway but I’m not ever bothered by speed - my next aim is to run 10k as comfortably as I can run 5k - I’ve done it a couple of times last November (before I was hit with weeks of viruses and injury) and I kept it slow - a lot slower than 5k running and it worked. Good luck to you and enjoy those longer runs. ☺️
