All of this decided as the roast dinner had 45 minutes left in the oven ππ₯π₯π½
Theoretically it should be my long run but that wasnβt going to suit the chickenπ
So As I needed to do a speed challenge Km by Monday ( and I was late with it last week) I decided to do a quick 20 minute run and be back in time for βthe gravyβ ππ
This running malarkey has me laughing at myself as I shoot out the door shouting βIβm just away a quick runβ to a bemused and baffled husband ππ
Today I achieved a PB Km of 6.23 and. PB mile of 10.53 and quite a nice roast dinner on top ππ
I really pushed it today and very likely wonβt see much improvement on top of that but it struck me that I do like my βcomfort zoneβ and really Iβve got a lot more in me ( or at least for a Km) than I test out .
So Iβm really enjoying this challenge and also the magic plan ( time) as itβs making me βtry myself outβ so to speak . Finally, also, Iβm having lightbulb moments about the whole βwhatβs your 5k pace, your 10 K pace β etc.
Iβm also getting to grips with with the wardrobe as well , always I seem to overdress even though itβs cold .
However Iβve just bought a wee βcheapyβ hi viz jacket and have discovered a long sleeve top is too warm with it , so back to a T shirt plus jacket . No hat , no gloves . Who knew there was so much to consider πππ€·πΌββοΈπ€·πΌββοΈ
So much discovered and still home for tea ! ππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈ

Indeed π Iβm glad Iβve stuck with it and glad to try new things like the speed run . Joining the B210K time plan has kept me focused too .I think this forum canβt be underestimated in terms of contributing to everyoneβs success also . Doubt if Iβd have reached this stage without it πππ»ββοΈ

Thank you , I think Iβve peaked π₯΅π₯΅ my daughter when about 5 ( mum of the grandson ) once told a friend of my mum in laws that she looked full up as she was taking another piece of cake π in the genes obviously
Haha! No stopping you now. Just think of all those micro-opportunities: the spin cycle on the washing machine, the boring gap in the tv schedule, different dishes in the oven....

Fantastic run π oh my goodness youβre doing so well π what a change in my 5 weeks off πͺYou can pop out on Christmas Day and knock out a 60 min run π Am not up to date with how far youβve run π€... maybe youβve done that already π€·ββοΈ

Iβve had my ups and downs but committing to the magic plan has refocused me. Iβm doing the time plan as itβs similar to C25K in that I maybe achieved the 30mins but not the 5K .
I can see myself getting to the 60mins but I can only achieve 6.2K in the 50 minutes that Iβve just done, so maybe 7/7.5 with the 60mins π€·πΌββοΈWhat is tougher is getting out for the runs , between the dark, the awful weather and back to work part time itβs just not so easy . The whole βrun a day, rest a day, run a day βetc. Of the C25K has βgone to potβ.
My next run is 55 mins and Iβm struggling to think when I can fit it in ,Iβm not exactly overly busy but it seems more of a consideration.
Iβm maybe getting 3 runs in 10 days π€·πΌββοΈ
So although it seems we are all forging ahead of you, weβre not really , I think most of the members I have been following have been similarly challenged.
I still do a lot of procrastinating before these sudden βIβm off for a runβ moments but at least I eventually get out .
As with so many other things I need to be kinder to myself and not give myself a hard time for being a few days late for a run πππ
Once out I still enjoy it, so itβs all good ππ
