What just a few weeks can do

Recently, I started running three times a week again for 30 minutes. Nothing fancy. Just something to get back into it.

I then tried the Speed podcast and, holy hell, that was hard. I don't run very fast and that podcast was really, really hard. I also did my first ever 5k three weeks ago with a time of 43:00(ish).

But. Within four weeks, I can now do the entire Speed podcast without walking. It's getting naturally easier to run longer and faster. And yesterday I ran a 5k at 41:55(ish).

Progress is small. But it's still progress! And it's so uplifting to have evidence that I'm getting fitter and stronger.

Next goal is to get a sub 40 minute 5K. And then one day chase that elusive 10K!

Happy running everyone :)

I've not tried any of the C25K+ podcasts yet. Maybe I should?

I really like the Speed one. I haven't tried out the other ones but have heard they're good.

It's nice to have some structured running. It also is a good way to track progress as you can easily tell if it becomes easier.
