Went out on Saturday morning and was jogging gingerly because it was icy in some patches. About 4km in I noticed a niggle in my right lower hamstring or behind my knee. Stretching it out didn’t help and bending my knee was painful so I cut the run short (pity too, as I was hoping for a 10km run this weekend...)
My upper calf/behind the knee is still painful. Any ideas on what to do? I iced it yesterday and will do so again this evening. Other than that?
Happy running, everyone, and stay safe.

If “jogging gingerly” means “running unnaturally”, could be your hamstring got fed up with doing things differently and went on strike. Can only suggest resting it - probably for a couple of days more than you think is necessary!
Yep -“gingerly” definitely means “running unnaturally” as I was being overly cautious. Hamstring on strike - oh dear! Will rest it more today and hopefully things get on track. Will have to do some research on running in slippery conditions. Temperatures here in Geneva are hovering around zero all week.
