I thought I would give it a go and try to get to 10k. I just feel like I’m getting slower. Has anyone else felt the same?

Giving it a go.
Going slower as you increase distance is actually a great idea, once you reach your new target distance then you can think about increasing your speed again but only if that is what you want. There are no correct speeds or distances just ones you feel you can manage. Are you increasing your total weekly distance by small increments? You should be mixing one longer run with short runs each week to prevent exhaustion and injury. Happy running 🤗
You're not getting slower, you're getting stronger. Those longer distances need a lot more energy. Well done 👏👏
Don't worry about your pace. You are increasing distance with slow runs, which is building your stamina and endurance. Speed can come later.Well done on running over 8k 😁👏👏👏
Great running. You are doing great. Slow and steady is the way to go. All the advice above is perfect. Once you get to 10K you can work on pace. Long runs need to be slower than shorter runs. Use the shorter runs to work on pace. Over time it will translate over to 10K. But it takes time. Just keep doing what your doing.
