First time venturing out this week and after a restless night and hardly any sleep my alarm went off at 5:15am .
Could have easily left it today, but no I set that alarm for a reason so bleary eyed but resolute I put my kit on, laced up my Brooks, banana, drink and few You Tube motivational vids to get me in the mood and off I set.
It was still dark outside, but I decided to go for the next Run Zombie episode ‘A Lost Child’ set off ok and within no time at all I found myself picking up supplies for camp, until I heard over my headphones that a child had been spotted wandering around outside in the wilderness, your going to have to pick up the pace the voice said, you’ve got 3 zoms on your tail, so I found myself sprinting down the road until I’d reached her....at which point I suddenly heard a mans voice shouting ‘leave her she’s with me’!! .........
Well I won’t spoil it for you, so far as to say I did manage to rescue said child, who turned out to be a bit of a chatterbox 🙄 and also the mystery man....but these bursts of energy sapped me of what little energy I had after my sleepless night and it turned out to be a hard earned 6k.
Reached home, walked the hound, showered, breakfast and added a few buildings to my camp using the credits I’d earned from the items I’d collected ( how old am I again 😂)
Anyway I’ve felt absolutely knackered all day, but I’m glad I made the effort, hopefully I’ll get a better nights sleep before my next venture out there.
