Hi everyone, could you post me the distance you covered at the end of week 3 run 1 please. I would like some idea of ideal speed or ideal slowness. I covered 3.7 km and my knees hurt now.... maybe I’m going too fast??? It doesn’t feel like it but maybe I need to slow down more?
Thank you

Mollyjazz I've just trudged back into my strava history and on that week I covered 3.12 klm. Those knees I wouldn't suspect that speed is your problem, Running increases the stresses we put on our bodies and it all goes down through our legs ending at your feet, are those shoes and socks providing ample cushioning?
My trainers are aasics and are fairly new, was thinking of getting some running socks though.... my poor knees and arthritic feet aaagh. Thanks for your reply x
You need to cover the distance which is comfortable for you in that time. There is a massive range of normal and acceptable speeds. Everyone is different go with what works for you and be happy. Happy running 🤗
Hello Mollyjazz700 , I didn't record any distances when I did C25K, so can't help you with that, sorry. But going more slowly, at a comfortable pace for you, is definitely better for you than pushing yourself and ending up injured.
By the way, I've just noticed that some of your posts are on this forum - Bridge to 10k - and others are on the Couch to 5K forum. While you're very welcome to post on more than one forum - I do that myself - you might get more replies from people at similar stages of their C25K journey over on that forum.
