Good run for me today, it was a 8K.PB, I run without my metromone app, music instead, I was listening to the Evergreen Top 1000 records of the last 50 years, that radio program is being broadcast all week, it helped me get a PB 8K of 56.57

It was nice to see Christmas lights still on in some gardens and at windows as the sun had just risen so the lights were still bright, however, when the run was over, the lights were off.
It is a lovely day Buddy34, a change from the rain ☔ we have had recently, but there were a lot of puddles to avoid, I enjoyed my run, the good part of starting the run just at sunrise was that I passed several gardens which still had Christmas Lights on and a few had Christmas Tree 🎄 🎅 lights still on at their windows, when I was walking back after the run all those lights were off.
Yes Al!!Awesome my main man. What a fabulous achievement. A brilliant way to cap another year of you being out there 'doing bits' as I like to say. What an inspiration mate. That's a quality run.
Most of my midweek runs have been8 K's in around a hour, last weeks 8K was with my metromone app at 166 cadence/beats/steps a minute 62 minutes and 42 seconds, this morning without the app and with music 🎶 instead my time was 56.57.
The metronome app is a good help for a runner to keep a even pace, but it's a bit strange that my fastest runs have been when I don't have it with me like this morning, the 🎶 music was very good as well. 😊 🏃🏾
PS 59er, No. 1000 on the Top 1000 was The Everly Brothers with Walk Right Back, at No. 1 was Roller Coaster by Dutch singer Danny VeraThe full 1000 songs are on the NPO Radio 5 Website.
I see someone's beaten me to it, I like the sound of that radio station. Brilliant stuff Al, looks like the Beatles are what you need for pacing your PB's!
Thank you GOG, I enjoyed my run this morning, I know all the numbers in Dutch from one to one thousand so I can listen to that Dutch Station with all that wonderful music.
It was a reasonable cracking run Grannyhugs, I had a happy run this morning, especially seeing some Christmas 🤶 🎄 Lights on in some gardens before they were switched off.
Thanks lexi6, not heard from you for a while, I hope you are enjoying your parkruns, I still listen to RNZ Concert on a Monday evening, that's Tuesday morning where you are.
I lost my mojo for a while Alan and have struggled with my running, but am running regularly again. I have done just 5 parkruns since they re-opened but hope to do more when we get a summer 👍Glad we still have our Concert programme too.
Good news about your runs and Concert continuing, I don't think that parkruns will return any time soon in the UK or Ireland, it looks as if everyone will have to be vaccinated first and that might not be until Autumn 2021, I am in the age group that may be vaccinatated in March 2021 but I was reading in The Guardian that people under 50 won't get the Covid 19 jag until during the summer of next year.
Wonderful that a vaccine is going to be available soon and I can only imagine the joy of everyone meeting up at parkruns again. You’ll all be getting PB’s there every week after your year of not parkruns. 👍
Congratulations on your 8K PB, that’s awesome! Sounds like an enjoyable run, just you and some good tunes, that’s how I like it best too. Happy running 🏃🏽♀️
That's OK W&S, that was two weeks ago, that time was 56.57, last Wednesday, 9th December it was even better when I ran another 8K in a time of 56.52, its high time I ran another 10K, I may do that next Wednesday.
