Magic Plan - week 4 SMASHED!

Just thought I’d check in and let you all know of our progress so far....we are absolutely loving the Magic Plan and completed the long run (50mins) of week 4 this morning! It was lovely, not too cold or too warm and got up to a great pace, I’m still buzzing!

We sort of gave up on the NRC coaches as they just talk too much, and have embraced fartlek, so have been doing little races between trees and lampposts on our shorter runs. I never thought the day would come when me and Mrs A would be laughing our heads off running, but there you go 😂

Hope everyone else is having as much fun with their runs as we have been! Happy runnings gang 💫🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🤩💥

That sounds so great!! I’m envious of everyone who can run with their partner, as mine can walk backwards whilst I run my fastest forward! 😂🏃🏻‍♀️ (but he sometimes joins me in workouts) Your running outings just sound so much fun! And yes, I can relate to NRC. (I want to try Jeff Galloway’s audio runs but he seems to do mainly Garmin)

I’m several weeks behind you on the Magic Plan, just finished Week1! Happy running!

I’m constantly amazed during our runs, we were confirmed couch spuds a few short months ago!

Good luck with your Magic Plan journey, we are loving each run (I certainly am anyway!) and can’t wait to run for 60mins then see what comes next in our running journey. Happy runnings! 🏃🏻‍♀️👍🏻🌟

Yes, I can run 60min which is a delight. Almost meditation. But I’m super super slow. So I was managing 60 min back when I reached my 5k! 😂😂

So am doing the distance version of the plan, but fear I will probably have to accept running for 2 hours to get to 10k. 😱

👍🏽👍🏽🙏🙏💪💪 (<— for each one of you)

I love the sound of your short runs . So lovely for you to be able to run together! If I laugh while running ( which I do if listening to podcasts or sometimes just because I am running through puddles enjoying myself).I feel people are looking at me thinking "who is that lycra vlad old woman running along cackling away ?".

Have fun.

Run safe.

Well done on your progress so far - it sounds like you are having a total blast on the Magic Plan. I can't believe you are on week 5 now - time flies! Some of the NRC runs are better than others, but yes sometimes the coach does talk a lot.

That's great progress and it sounds as though you and Mrs A are having a wonderful time! If you can keep smiling, that's the mental challenge dealt with!
