Most accurate watch/app for recording distance?

ShufflingShepherdess profile image

Just did a short run this morning, to the end of our drove and back. Strava said it was 3.79km, whereas my cheap Fitpro watch said it was 4.25km. Surely GPS is GPS, so how could they both differ? Checked it on Google on the PC and Strava is correct. Anyone else find their run watch out? What should I get instead?

I’ve had garmin forerunner 35 for over a year, as long as I’m not deep in the mountains where gps signals are a bit dodgy it’s really accurate for distance and heart rate. Happy running 🤗

Another Garmin owner here (Forerunner 35), been very happy with its performance and accuracy, I believe it was on offer at the time for about £85 when I bought it.

Same here. Garmin Forerunner 15 and for the past 18 months a Garmin Forerunner 35. Very accurate and I also wear it as an everyday watch. I bought the Forerunner 15 on eBay as my first running watch for £20. I picked the Forerunner 35 up on an Amazon sale for £80. It is a great running watch.

Thanks everyone! Now bought the Garmin 35 from Argos, so look forward to test driving it! Cheers!
