CR14: Magic Plan Wk3 R2- Wild Weather did not deter 🏃🏻‍♀️👍💨🌨

Although just starting the plan this week I’ve ‘jumped in’ at Wk3 since my last 6 runs have all been 50/50 between 30mins and 38 mins so I’m thinking the long run of 44mins might be doable.

Feeling much more motivated than of late so was keen to get back to 3 runs a week and keen to get this second run done today .

Rain and wind were pretty wild though 🙄☔️💨🌬 It did dry up though just as I was finishing my exercises and stretching , unfortunately this coincided with the ‘school rush’ passing by outside ...... still not brave enough 😂😂🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️

I found with the short 15 minute run that I was a bit all over the place with my pace so I concentrated hard on keeping this run steady to set me up for the longer run 3 to come.

I was quite pleased at the consistency of the pace ( my garmin started talking to me today to tell me what it was and also my HR , this was by accident not design . I usually just press run and off I go , it usually just buzzes at Km and if I’m ahead of the pace Inset. Today I found a 35 min workout and pressed that 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ Maybe I set this up at some point . Think I need to take some ‘Garmin Coaching’ 😂😂

Anyway this commentary kept me nice and steady albeit just slightly faster than I’d have liked .

It really was a wild windy run and it started raining after five minutes but I didn’t see and point turning back and also felt it looked brighter towards the coast.

I passed only two cars and two ‘rainwear clad ‘ dog walkers so not too many people witnessing my wet bedraggled madwoman running in the rain look 🙄🙄😂

I found it quite exhilarating and refreshing really , the black and grey sky , whipping wind and wild waves of the sea and me playing a part in it all , braving the elements and all that 😂

It brightened up on the way home and the day has been another fairly dry but windy November day .

Glad to be back with the programme , time plan is definitely the way to go for me and just feeling really energised again 🙂🙏

Well done getting out there in the wind and rain!

I’m such a wuss...it was such a miserable dank rainy day here, and I just thought...no way! Hopefully no fora clear window tomorrow 🤞🏼

...anyway, great that you’re feeling energised...good luck for long run 🥰🐌🐢🏃🏻‍♀️

Thanks 👍 I just didn’t want to lose my momentum again .

The sky to the back of the house was black and to the front brighter , so I took a chance and ran towards the better side 😂😂 turned out I t was ok 👌

Hope it fairs up for you 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️

Well done for getting out there, sounds like you enjoyed it. I find the thought of a wet, windy run is worse than reality. As you says it’s quite exhilarating being out in the elements, and I find every run energising, well after any way lol. Happy running, you got this 👍🏃🏽‍♀️

Thanks yes, I’m always in a great mood after running ( not if it wasn’t a good one obviously😂😂)

Sounds like a good (and wild) run. Your watch seems to have a mind of its own 😂I'm afraid I don't have a posh watch yet but Strava tells me my pace every half k which gives me a rough idea and will suffice for an amateur like me 😊

I suspect with my distances that the amateur is me 😂😂

However you’ve just solved it I think 👌

I wonder if it’s Strava talking to me . Maybe it’s coming on automatically 🤷🏼‍♀️

Will investigate .

The watch was a big treat , I ‘piggy banked’ the money from 2 classes I was missing over lockdown and bought it with that 👌I was demented faffing with my phone .

Basic model but I’d be lethal with anything more complicated 😂😂

Ha ha. It's a whole new learning experience. Good idea to treat yourself though with money saved in these troubling times.

Yes , let’s hope so , just a wee bit ‘braking’ required at outset 😂🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️
