Had been planning to do another 10K run. Since my last one in September I seem to have stayed quite happily to around 5Kish (mixing it up with intervals etc) but then realised I hadn’t completed Strava’s October 10K challenge. Oh well, there’s always next month.
But, since then it’s been playing on my mind. No idea why, have done it 3 times before so know I can, and enjoy it too. Given fab forecast, I was determined to go out today and ‘give it a go’ - couldn’t even tell myself I was going to do it.
So up early and set off in the cool fresh morning air, still not convinced, with NRC’s Coach Bennett along to keep me going and determined to put the negative thoughts behind me. Beautiful day, lovely run and, you know, really enjoyed it - even a (slight) PB too 🥳.
Why I’d worked myself up about it and put pressure on myself I’ve no idea 🤷♀️
