Today again ended up being busier than planned, so if I didn't want to run literally at night my only option was to take a quick run in between two of my classes today. I set off around 17:00pm for my normal run loop, noting in my head that I wouldn't have enough time to do my normal easy run of 7/8k (45 minutes).
Instead, I decided on taking my faster and shorter run of the week. It has been so, so windy here today, so honestly in combination with running faster than usual, this felt like a strength workout! Also I managed to run relatively fast up the bridges! They always get to me as I don't train at all on hills aside from the bridges (here its literally flat), but I've found that I can get up them a lot easier than I used to. It also rained in bursts through the run: I'm for sure growing to like it more! Luckily it wasn't that heavy, hitting you in the face type of rain (which would put my right off); but instead just enough that I felt very cool running through the conditions
It was only after that Strava also told me I'd hit a new 5k PB! I hadn't aimed for it at all, so I'm very happy with that unexpected one!
