We got up ready for our pre-dawn run yesterday, and stepped out the door to ferocious wind and violent rain coming down sideways! So back to bed for an hour, with promises to try again today...
We got up pre-dawn this morning, got our kit on, including shower proof jackets that literally boil me alive in mere moments, stepped out the door to...more blinking treacherous rain lashing from all directions! I think the moral of the story is something like...try looking out of the window!!
Anyway...we spotted a window of opportunity at lunch time, so did intervals with NRC Coach Corey...I enjoyed the intervals and managed a cracking pace (for me) but I can’t say I’m a fan of Coach Corey, a bit too much talking so I just felt really distracted. Pleased we did the intervals and I’m sure they will pay dividends going forward but might have to think about doing the intervals without a coach, and I’m pleased with our progress on our first ever lunch time run.
The rain held off until the cool down walk, and when it came it was wonderful! A heavy shower that only lasted a couple of minutes, and I was just thankful it held off until then.
Happy running everyone, and I hope you have better luck with the weather for your runs, wherever you are! ⛈🏃🏻♀️🤞🏼
