Somehow my day again as jam-packed, so had to go out post sunset. I set off just before 7 - aiming for a comfortable 40 minutes. Yy favourite route in the darkness (in the centre, where I feel safe) is about 5k, so I knew I'd have to add on some 500m extra bits here and there, which always add up. Heading out, it was drizzling, which actually I've never ran in before! Luckily it wasn't too cold, so I actually didn't mind it Also today I finally thought about safety! I added one of my old bike lights to my running belt- I put the belt on the outside of my shirts today, and then tucked the light in so I was visible! I'm thinking of getting some reflexives though, because I definitely don't want to be run over.
I felt comfy today, and somehow my times were faster than usual, especially for 40 minutes! I did 7.3k, and had pretty even splits which I was happy with I'm more proud though of getting out 3x this week in the cold, dark, and rain!
