As from last night we’re under curfew and lockdown. At least it’s sunny here.
We are allowed to get out for an hour’s running every day keeping to 1 km from home, carrying a self-signed document. No need for a mask if running.
Poring over my map I see that my usual consolidation run is so wiggly that it doesn’t leave the 1 km radius. I could run it twice in that hour, if so moved.
Otherwise I intend to walk to the supermarket 800m to get more exercise.
I suppose I could run further and break down in tears in front of a policeman saying I’m really lost (doesn’t look good though at my age)!

Happy consolidating it is then. One area of interpretation to exploit is 1km radius as opposed to always being somewhere where the most direct runnable route home is no more than 1k. Sadly, if this were applied here, a fair bit of my 1k radius would be in the Solent and I’d only have a couple of short sections of my regular open area running routes I could shuttle around, with the rest of the allowed area being residential streets. I suppose that shows how these things fall down.
It is difficult to set these things in stone without making everyone wear a tracker. The rule does say 1km radius, so I can do 6 km easily within that circle. Not many people could take one hour to do one kilometre🐢
