Well it's been a tough few weeks on the running front, with the move to a new country I just haven't been feeling it and the longer distances seemed to be taking it out of me! Combined with not being able to do my usual cross-training of tennis twice a week either I felt like my overall fitness progress (and what my current focus is) was taking a bit of a hit. So I took a few days off of running to re-evaluate and find a way forward.
On the plus side, my first 5K back was great and I did my second 8K feeling pretty good too. However, I've decided that I really need to up the running to four times a week or I just struggle too much on the weight loss front. I won't be able to do tennis at all from Monday because the country I'm in has got tighter lockdown restrictions so it's off the cards.
I've worked through to Magic plan and upped it to four runs per week but building distance over a longer time period - I completed week five, but instead of 3 weeks left I've plotted out 5 weeks to build up both the number and distance nice and slowly instead.
So I'm setting off on my new (adapted) magic plan journey and I'll keep you updated!

Hi, I'm plodding along on the magic plan time version too, just started week 6 with a short interval run (didn't know I could be that fast, haha!). Looking forward to 55 mins on Monday. Your plan sounds good and doable but I know I'd need 2 rest days somewhere along the line. Take it easy 😄
