Friday 5K and a Waiting Hound

Woke up early today thought I’d concentrate on pace rather than distance. Opted for a Nike 5k run before work, Coach Bennett posing random questions to me throughout such as what book have you read that you would read again 🤷 but he was chirpy enough as always and he’s company on these runs.

Well not a lot to report I’m afraid, all went well I picked up the pace and achieved a reasonable 5k time. Our puppy was waiting for his walk when I arrived home so no sooner had I got in I was straight back out again, I could actually see the steam rising off me as I was walking him and cooling down ! 🥵

A pic of said hound for a acountrycabbage as promised in my last post....who could resist that face ! He ran with me for part of the walk and seemed to enjoy it, so maybe a potential running partner when he gets a little older. 🤔

That's a good time my main man. I had that feel too and did a 5k yesterday as I felt the need for a blow out. I think as your dog grows he'll love the runs with you. Have a super weekend. Are you out Sunday? Do you have set days when you run?

Aww cute pup CP! I highly recommend a running buddy. My little Lab has accompanied me on most of my runs since I started in June 2018 and it’s lovely having her there. 🐾🥰

Well done on your run. I’ve never tried Coach Bennett even though I have the (unused) NRC app on my phone. I will, one of these days. 😀

He needs a trim, he does look part teddy and we get very little done as he’s into everything! He’s got a lovely nature though....glad the cute puppy fix has set you up for the day ahead 😊
