I actually did it. Can't quite believe it. All afternoon I have not felt like doing any running but thought its a beautiful day, let's do it.
It was probably one of my best on many levels. My breathing was calm, and then realised I had done a PB at 5k - 33.42 mins!!
10k - 1hr 12 mins, pace 7.07
Pretty pleased with that, I had a bit of an ache in my thigh from about 3k but it did not get worse. The sea was beautiful tonight with lights of the fishing boats glinting on the sea.
Around the 6 k mark I thought of all my fellow runners on the forum and you helped me through, so thank you xxx

Many congratulations on a milestone run and distance! You deserve to feel so very proud. All those runs before have led up to this!! Excellent run and time 😊
Well done to you on running your first 10K, very good time as well, to get your graduation badge and the word GRADUATE10 next to your username leave a message in the pinned posts on the right side of the healthunlocked October Graduate10 homepage and tell the administrators that you have ran your first 10K 🎓 😊
Fantastic. Congratulations to you. Very well done on your 10K. Look at the pinned posts, put up a post on the October Graduates and I’ll award you a 10K badge .
It's so strange with running in that you can do a 3-4k and it's pretty awful, short of breath, aches and feel like a heavy elephant. Then you do another one and it can be so different. I guess you just take it when it's good and move on when it's bad!!!
