Having taken advice from posts on here I saw an osteopath regarding my hip injury - turns out I have either bursitis around the greater trocanter or tendonopathy! (not helped with the muscle wasting I still have on my left calf following rupturing my achilles 16yrs ago) So 2 weeks down the line having had treatment & done strengthening exercises, I've been allowed to slowly go back to running! So repeated week 4 run 2 this morning & so far all ok! Yes only 2.3 miles but it's a start. Aiming to get back to full 5k by the end of the month when I'm doing a charity run! Glad to be back out there!
