I FINISHED WHERE I STARTED.....

According to my last week's plan I step it up by 1k each week. So this is my week for 7k 😯 Planned out a route in my head and fingers crossed it would be far enough. Since the beginning of Covid when we were asked not to travel I've been starting my run at the end of my lane after my warm up walk. If I don't reach my distance by the time I get back to my lane I carry on running up the hill 😫 Long sleeved tee shirt (thank goodness) and gloves (thank goodness) It was colder than it looked. The first hill had me breathing quite hard. I've been finding that no problem lately. Wondered if it was because I'd had steak for dinner last night, or was it the wine? Or was it because I wasn't hydrated enough. Slowed my pace down. Classical on. Usually I look at my watch A LOT! Made myself wait until I reached a certain point 4.23k. Took a little drink and a jelly bean - never done this before. Struggled with the jelly bean - might've been a bit stale πŸ™„ It had been steadily raining practically the whole time but I was actually enjoying it - not many people about - joy! Last piece of music , The Nutcracker which finished bang on 7k at the end of my lane! Result! Definitely need to get some trail shoes, its getting very muddy out there 😝

Thanks AlMorr - I've taken a leaf from your book and taken to running an extra kilometre each week although I'm not sure how long and how far I'll be be able to go!

If you wish you can add 500 metres more a week, go to settings on your app and tap the half kilometers icon or just keep it at 1 Kilometre.

Not sure about the jelly bean, I take a peppermint, not sure it has the same effect but it’s sugar, I tried jelly babies last year but they got stuck together or stuck to my pocket and some went through the wash hmm lol

Sounds a lovely run, even with the rain

yup it’s the day for 7k go us πŸ˜€

Oh that sounds like it was a great run!

Ooooh I love this. Did make me laugh too! Can you do your warm up walk in the opposite direction then turn around and run down the lane after? Well done though because 7k is toppled and you did it! Moving along nicely too πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

No, unfortunately not. If I go in the other direction it's straight in to the fields where it's very slippy, slide, squelchy πŸ‘πŸ„ The lane at this time of year is the best bet, but it's very stony which is why I only walk it.
