10k but the best bit is my blood pressure reading

I have been following Juju’s magic plan ‘with a bit extra’ for the past 3 weeks. I’m rearranging my running days do I can fit in longer runs at the weekends and had a good 45 min run on Friday and I slightly regretted not going further. I intended to do a 60 minute run today but it’s such a nice sunny, cool day I just got into the groove and I just kept running until I didn’t want to any more. So I managed to bag a combined 60 minute run and a 10k as well and I feel great! I must find some better longer distance routes now, I ended up circling the school playing fields for a bit 😕. The best bit though is that after my run my blood pressure reading is normal for the first time in days. So this will encourage me to maintain the mileage. Slow running is my thing I think.

Good for you, 👍🏻 it’s wonderful when runs go so well. 😄- Health benefits too - perfect!

I’m a slow running fan too. My resting heart rate has dropped from about 72 to 58 over the last 9 months, must be good news! 😄

👏👏👏👏👏

I really like this. Congratulations because those two runs are both excellent times to be on your feet. Well done in your 10k and the pace seems to suit you and your blood pressure. Longer and slower/comfier runs are so beneficial. Brilliant running! 🥇
