"two fast, one easy" NRC second time around; I'm feeling better

So the first two runs of this week I found HARD - my body was tired, going slower than usual but still struggling... Given this, I wasn't expecting much of myself today for my dedicated speed run, but I was feeling good and also physically strong before my run, so I decided to go for another fartlek run - which I really enjoy. I was going to take the "two easy, one hard" on NRC, but I really wanted to prove something to myself mentally, and beat these gremlins which have been popping up into non-existence.

I took the "two hard, one easy" run and had so much fun!! Much more than runs 1/2 of this week. I also felt a lot physically better. I still had to stop the workout to breath at one point (once, this time). This run definitely pushed me to my limits, and by the end even the easy minute running was hard, and then the final 2 minutes of hard running I felt like I was pushing my abilities to breath. But I really liked the format of this run - its challenging, yet still doable.

My average pace with the warm up was 5:13/km, and I really feel like overall I'm getting much stronger. Also I think my body has fully recovered from being sick early last week.

What I also really like that I can notice that some of my rituals around running had disappeared -today I ran as it was dusky, and wore some random clothing (still need to buy some warmer sporty stuff). I'm happy i can now run outside of a pre-set schedule.

On rituals... I've got so used to a routine of running first thing in the morning. The last time I did a lunchtime run between showers it was week 4 of C25K. So when I set out this lunchtime I was a little apprehensive. It worked out OK, though.

Yes when I started running I had so many I swear! Food, timing, clothes... you name it I had it! Even the music I had to listen to. I've really been trying to reduce / get rid of them though, andI feel better for it. And nice you could go at a different time!

Even if it feels a bit weird now for us hopefully in the future everything'll become normal.
