Ju-Ju-โ€˜s Magic 10K Plan - Week 6

5K ๐ŸŽฏ

I had an awful nights sleep last night, awake every hour or so ๐Ÿ˜ด so this morning I couldnโ€™t focus my brain to choose a playlist for my run ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ I was undecided on my goals and therefore couldnโ€™t decide on the soundtrack!

I thought thatโ€™s itโ€™s been a fair while since Iโ€™ve heard Lauraโ€™s voice! And I could really do with an empowering ear worm today to push me through - virtual company but company nonetheless!

So I opted for the C25K Week 9 podcast. Thinking it would be good to compare and contrast my progress since graduating at the end of July when I hit 5K in 30mins.

A chilled run - not pushing for PBโ€™s as this is a recovery run. But Iโ€™m super happy that Iโ€™ve shaved over 2 whole minutes off my graduation time! Not at all bad for a medium effort jog! Canโ€™t help but compare how my body feels after the run now compared to July - such a positive difference! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Now, my shins are a bit sore today so Iโ€™m going to reward myself with two consecutive days rest before attempting the 9K run to finish the week.

Thanks Instructor57 ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป Iโ€™ve had a steaming hot bath and massaged the shins - deep tissue with the thumbs right in there, from ankle to the knee (towards the heart) along where the muscle meets the bone - ouchy! ๐Ÿ˜ฃ Then iced them both for a good 30 minutes. Fingers crossed ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป theyโ€™ll be alright in a few days - prevention is better than cure!

Good running - for a poor nights sleep.๐Ÿ‘ Alas, that's usual for me these days.
