I was on of those people that said running was never for me and my 2 wheels were my form of exercise.
Well working from home stopped my cycling commute and the odd 1 hour ride at a weekend was just not enough to stop the odd few pounds being added during lockdown.
So I started running in July and got to 5k by mid August.
I then gave myself the next target which was to complete a 10k by the end of September and I’m pleased to say I done it on the final day of the month.
So my goals for the month of October are
1) to run at least 3 times a week
2) run 20k a week
3) improve my pace
This will be tested as I’m about to go away for 5 nights to Corfu on Tuesday, but I have packed running shorts, socks, top and my running shoes.
This is all training for the next challenge that has been set for me by my girlfriend, I am running a 6k Commando challenge in the first week of November. So not only running, its lots of lovely obstacles to get through and over too.
