I have been very stressed recently with so many areas of Wales going into lockdown. My youngest daughter was coming to visit and we were hoping to run together again and I was so worried that she wouldnβt be able to come. Luckily Gwynedd is ok at the moment. Last night we decided we would run this morning and I would attempt to get my 60min badge. We decided it would be a slow run as I have been recovering from an ankle injury. This mornings weather was perfect, cool but sunny. We set off at a steady pace running the route I usually run. Itβs a there and back run along Lon Eifon. We passed the 5k turn around mark, then the furthest I had run. I felt good and it was so nice to chat with someone as I ran. We ran for 5k and then turned back. I knew at that point not only would I get my 60min badge but I would also manage to run 10k. I felt really good. The psychological effect on my running when I turn back is always good as in my mind it is always downhill. We passed the 60min milestone and we kept running. Still pinching myself as I still canβt quite believe I have managed to run 10k. I definitely need to run with my daughter again. Canβt wait for this COVID-19 nightmare to be over so I can join a running club.

Yay!! Sounds like a great run!!! I miss running with my daughter- she seems to have given up at the moment and I cannot tempt her out again.
10k in 60 minutes, first time out? Wow, just wow! Huge congratulations MoliJ, what an achievement! I hope you and your daughter celebrate in style!
Goodness! Not only did you run 10k in 60 minutes but you also managed to chat with your daughter ! So impressive. Well done indeed. Long long way off that speed! Keep it up.
Thanks Timotea, wish I had run it in 60 mins π, 10k took a bit longer.
Great pics, you both look really happy. Lovely to do that together.
Unfortunately for me neither of my daughters run, both βtoo busyβ π€£. Hopefully theyβll see sense soon and join their old mum. ππ.
Fantastic running! And how lovely to have done that run with your daughter. You will always remember that special run.
It is awful about the lockdowns in Wales.
I was on holiday in Gwynedd last week and managed to run a 4k and 5k around Llanengan as part of week 3 of the Magic Plan. It was so beautiful, you are so lucky to be able to run there
Llongyfarchiadau ar dy llwyddiant M
Well done and I so envy anyone able to run in Wales - always loved it there but still haven't been able to get a chance to run in it
Congratulations again Ten-K-Runner
Diolch Irish John. It is nice to run here. I bet itβs nice to run in Ireland too. I had a very nice walking holiday in Kerry and the Dingle peninsula a few years back. X
Dingle is definitely in the top five most beautiful places there, and far less crowded than the Ring of Kerry
It was a beautiful place, would love to go back. π
The Connor Pass - white knuckled drive but oh so worth it
Connor Pass is nothing compared with the Priest's Leap!
Priest's Leap is awesome, true And one hasn't really been to Ireland if they haven't spent time in Cork - especially around Clonakilty
But that sheer drop to the sea on the Connor Pass is sphincter-tightening in the extreme π¬ No way will I drive it on the seaward side.
How fantastic! Really well done.
OMG Moli your photos are amazing - that is so brilliant! Not just a 60 minute run, but a 10k with your daughter. I cannot tell you how wonderful that is - you surely know it and will cherish that for years to come. Massive congrats! π₯³πππππ Great big hugs too xx
I recognize the mountains in the background, especially the odd shaped one at the far right that overlooks Trefor. When I drive through the gap at Llanaelhaearn I know I've just over half an hour more to go.
The mountains locally are called Yr Eifl or the Rivals. We have been up Tre'r Ceiri many times as there is an Iron Age fort at the top. The views are spectacular.
Well done on running for 60 minutes and then carrying into 10kππΌ Great achievement. It looks like you have a lovely routes to run π
