Then this chap appeared in front of me! Two minutes from the end of magplan week 3s 44 minute run, I had to stop and take a piccy! We are sojourning in mh in the New Forest. So I'm thinking I might repeat this long run next week. First repeat ever, all cos of a stag! 😄

That’s a good reason to be stopping... what a wonderful thing to see towards the end of your run. Not been in the forest for years... my walking down there all used to involve a visit to the Royal Oak in Fritham.

I doubt you’d struggle to just advance to the next week of the plan, the couple of minutes short wasn’t because you were done and couldn’t carry on, so isn’t so significant. Up to you of course... we all get to our goals on our terms and in our own time.

Happy running.

No I wasn't 'done' and did do a short happy sprint after I saw him. So maybe I'll just carry on to week 4 .... 🏃‍♀️x

I would, you had the capability of running it all, the fitness boost from a 40 minute run and a sprint won’t be different from a 42 minute run in any measurable way.

Oh wow, that’s wonderful! 😄 Holiday running is great - I have never been to the New Forest, but would like to explore there.

I’m sure you are allowed to take a photo then finish the run rather than repeat. 😄

Enjoy the rest of your holiday. Xx

Stopping for such a rare photo opportunity is at least as valid a reason to pause as having to retie your shoelaces.

Wow, that was worth it, what a cracking pic. I dont think you'll have any prob moving on to next week. Good luck. 👍

What a wonderful moment to capture in a photograph. I would definitely have stopped too - not just for the photo but because running headlong into a stag is never a good idea 🦌!!

This event shouldn’t cause a blip in your progress. Keep moving forwards 😊.
