I struggled today! I think I was too tired, plus I also set off too fast. Whilst I did manage to maintain my pace (58:30 for 10k!) I just felt tired throughout! My legs were heavy, and also my mind wasn't really in it too much.
Despite the difficulties I'm happy to have finished this week of running and to have gotten under an hour for a 10k!

That's a super run at the end of the week. Hey, if you can run like this feeling how you did then it's s massive positive 😊 Any 10k under an hour is terrific. Well done! Rest up and we go again 👏👏
thanks!! yes I think I struggle to maintain my pace more when I'm tired so thats why its all over the pace + a bit faster... doesn't feel so great! But yes coming under 1h was very pleasing
Today I've done nothin else so hopefully will feel fresh for next week!
Very impressive a_in_gsr to have managed all that on an ‘off’ day - it took me nearly twice that to do 10k this am and I was feeling quite good!! What a great way to end your running week!👏👏
thank you! Any 10k is so impressive though honestly - I'm just happy to be able to run this distance!! Running for nearly 2h is also an achievement - I'd like to work beyond 60 minutes in time.
I was trying to go slow! This was more my ideal pace for 6/7 k - not 10K! But I do struggle with pacing a lot, especially when I'm tired. I'll definitely work on keeping my long runs slower, especially as the distance increases.
