CR22 = 8k trail run and my longest run to date 😊

I'm now lying in the hot tub checking out my Strava when the penny finally drops... I just ran non-stop for 56 mins and 39 secs!!! I can't believe it! I left aiming for 6 or 7k and although I felt like I could've kept going at 8k, I didnt want to risk over doing it. Yes, I kind of wish I had kept running for the additional 2:40 so I'd have hit 60 mins but ...am I really that bothered I missed the 60 mark?... No, not in the slightest as I just ran 8k πŸ™Œ and with this knowledge I shall be smiling for the rest of today πŸ˜€ Happy weekend folks 😊

Great stuff... and that 60 minutes is going down on your next long run. Sensible to not push on and chase it as it’s coming soon anyway.

I was with you in spirit on that one! Although my 8k this morning wasn't a trail run. Doing the Magic Plan and so 9k next weekend will take me over the 60 minutes, not bad for someone who this time last year hadn't run further than the bus stop for 35 years...

Well done Cp1965 that's great news on your progress, you're smashing it! Yes, before C25K I couldn't run the length of myself (6'2") without my ankles giving in so I'm ridiculously proud of my achievements and I would never have anticipated how much running would get a grip of me πŸ˜€
