Somehow I managed to lose Thursday's 4k run on Strava... curse my technological ineptitude... so you'll just have to take my word for that one!
Been out this morning and done the 8k run, and my, was it a difficult one, to say that I did 7k last Saturday this one seemed like a real struggle. The Toxic 10 was in full effect today, calf muscles took ages to free up somehow, and in hindsight I think I probably set off at too fast a pace even though I thought I was trying to go more slowly.
I also managed to miscalculate the distance by about 200m, resulting in my having to run round in a circle before getting to the end point, schoolboy error but I shall make an appropriate course correction next time!
I also managed to get mixed up with a local running club, they set off from their start point just as I was approaching and I suspect I may have baulked one or two of them... sorry folks.
Definitely one of the more challenging runs today for whatever reason, took care to do some extra stretches today as the calves are feeling the pressure, on the plus side the scales were kind on the weekly weigh in this morning and I'm finally below 87kg, for the first time since my teens!
