After 12 weeks with no running or real excersise due to an operation I did my first Run this morning, decided it should be a nice gentle "freedom" run in the forest of Dean as I am here on Holiday. Went for a couple of laps of a field but feeling okay branched out into the forest, ran a there and back route with a bit of deviation as I took the wrong path on the way back. As you can see a slow 30 Mins but I felt good so onwards and upwards, think I will do another 2 x 30 Mins this week before upping the time.

If you are in the Forest of Dean for a bit longer, head over to Mallards Pike Lake - there are a few running routes there including a 5k. Very nice runs, off road trails but all clearly marked. My insider tip there
Welcome back to running, that was a great first run back, here's to many more.

That sounds like a magnificent come back run after all these weeks. Hopefully you can build back up to where you had been before your operation. Happy running 🤗
