Photo for OldGirlRuns and Sofaspud - todays leggings -forgot to take a pic wearing them so they are now washed, dried and in airing cupboard.

Well after two fabulous runs this week, today was hell. I have had a niggly back for a couple of days now. Not all the time just every now and then I’ll be walking along casually and it will suddenly pinch in my left SI joint. Never had issues on that side - always the other ( which has been fine for about 5 years now🤞). And also Wednesday I started to feel a pain along my collarbones!! Wasn’t sure if it was bones, musclular or my asthma or what. Decided I’d probably slept funny but it still hasn’t gone away and when I bend down to lean forward it hurts and also on deep breaths. I have taken my peak flow and that’s pretty good at the mo.

Anyway this morning I was working on the “it will feel better once you get going” principal and went out for my run. It didn’t!!!

My legs ached, my chest hurt, even though strangely breathing was fine.. I just really did not enjoy my run. Saw loads of (not)parkrunners... the local club in 2s and 3s... lots of “good mornings” and smiles .....A few pink sweaty ladies ..... and a lovely “well done love- keep going” from a man, prob my age.. maybe older, and he trotted past me as though I was stood still. ☹️. This was when I had reached the 3-3.5k stage and was thinking “ shall I just go home now?”. Then I pulled my Big Girls pants up and got on with it!! And finished my 5k!! Was it fun? NO IT WASNT!! Did I enjoy it? NO I DIDNT!! BUT I DID put my time on the (not)Parkrun bit on the website and I WILL have a better run next time!!

Came home, showered, ate, and I still ache across my chest. Bit concerned but I had my full blood tests results back yesterday and everything is fine there...including Renal function which was what was worrying me.my BP was fine.. so I’m putting it down to I’ve slept awkwardly again.

And this afternoon I have been sewing myself a new colourful top and a PE kitbag for my friends 4 year old( in blue fabric with wizards on). So not a wasted day.

Great run limberlou although you say it didn't feel like it .

I hope you are only aching due to the way you've slept and it goes away. 😊😊

Oh well - its another 5k and on the bright side - that's the stinker out of the way and hopefully you'll have some great runs after this.

Thanks I’ve had chest pain since Thursday, like a bruise in middle of chest?, and that’s made me feel a bit “meh” and it worried me over the weekend so I’ve rung dr this morning. Got an apt tomorrow afternoon but she thinks from phone consult that it’s prob muscular/ skeletal issue. ( I’ve been thinking Angina like dad☹️) but she says best to see me to make sure

Absolutely best to check it out. Not knowing just adds unnecessary stress and worry. Hope it turns out to be something straightforward.
