No, I didn't fall down a hole while watching a swan take its first flight, nor was I chased by geese, but I was about 18" off being decapitated by a large magpie (it was so close it looked like it could have been a pterodactyl...) strangely enough after that I couldn't get the theme music to the similarly named 1970s kids' TV programme out of my head, for anyone under 50 it was ITV's equivalent of Blue Peter...
That, and the usual dog walkers gawping mindlessly at mobile phones, aside, it was actually quite a comfortable run today. I think the cooler temperatures helped, although my running shirt is still somewhat, er, moist with perspiration! As it's about 5 weeks since I have done a run of that length I decided to take it steady, not broken any records but due to the GPS taking time to catch up under the trees I have achieved a new "longest run" by about 60m! Working a late shift on Tuesday so W4 R1 is pencilled in for Tuesday morning, couple of RDs now for my little legs to catch up.
