It took a little motivation to get out of the door this morning, and to be frank I was wondering whether I'd get far due to the rain, wind etc of the last few days, but in the end I braved the somewhat chillier weather to get my 6k run in. It did seem to take a bit of time to get going this morning to be honest, the Toxic 10 was in full effect and I had to give myself a good talking to, or was it the gremlin? I turned up the volume on the earphones, and I think Johnny (Rotten) Lydon scared the gremlin away (I won't name the track to spare your ears but it contains some obscenities... 😁)
Surprised quite how many people were out this morning, although the bank holiday may have influenced it slightly, and back to dodging small dogs on unfeasibly long leads, also realised that my route wasn't quite going to stretch to 6k so I had to do a bit of a loop... then for some reason I missed the 6k announcement on Strava so actually ended up stopping when the 40 minute alert on my wristband went off, so did a bit more than 6k in the end. But hey, at least my running is going better than my weight loss at the moment!
Onwards and upwards, Week 3 starts on Monday...!
