A demon squished

The September town run here has been cancelled. Inevitable in the current circumstances but I’m not going to let all the hill training I’ve done go to waste.

The hardest part of the 11k run is a continuous 2.5k slog uphill and it’s that I’ve been dreading for months. But there it is, done and dusted, in 19m13s to the top. Some wag has marked hard! hard! on the road. I knew that.

Jogging back downhill was bliss 😎

You conquered it! Great stuff. All these outings will really help you and it's great that your runs are varied too. You've certainly come a long way 😊

I agree that varying routes, when you can, is important. Also switching between timing yourself and just kerploodling for the simple enjoyment.

Definitely, once a week I just run without looking at my watch and see what it says at the end and my comfy plodding pace yesterday was over 12mins per mile. Loved it 😁

Phenomenal uphill run. All the training has definitely paid off. Well done. Happy running 🤗

It did. I just kept repeating “this hill is my friend “. Sometimes I meant it !
