I had a plan to run to a nearby town, wasn’t sure of distance but set myself the challenge and hubby would pick me up.
It took me an hour and 35 minutes but the pace and elevation were suitable, weather was drizzly and cool with only one big shower of rain (perfect conditions apart from head cold the next day!)
It’s nice having a particular destination to aim for and not having to loop back.
Super chuffed with myself.

You deserve to be super chuffed with yourself, well done, running that distance is really very good, well done, the next time you see a roadsign saying 8 miles (13K) you can think to yourself or tell someone that I ran that distance recently.
Goodness, I hadn’t thought about the mileage - 8 miles. That’s fab. My long-term goal is ten. Not too far away.
🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Yes!! Awesome achievement! That's over 8 miles. Well done you. What a terrific achievement. That's a good time too. Did it feel ok? You've every right to feel chuffed today. That 10 miles is within reach 🎽
What a fantastic run, brought a smile to my face remembering similar destination runs that I've done. There's something really special about getting there. Happy running 🤗
Lifluf, I’ve done that for a few of my longer runs. Just run in one direction and get picked up. I find it works well, aiming for a particular town/village/landmark and not having to loop back. Makes for an interesting run.
You're doing such a good job of building up slowly that you'll kkow just when the time is right.
He told me to have 1/2 rest days between doing them and ideally do them after a run so having done them yesterday with him I'm going to do again on Saturday morning after a run. But... having done them yesterday, this morning was the first morning this week I didn't have a stiff calf and foot when I woke up 👍 I've had to dig the dumbbells out of the loft though as he's told me to put them in a rucksack and on my back so I have to work harder 😅
