I have only just seen the Post from Harmit regarding his recent incident. I was so glad to read all these uplifting comments and good wishes to Harmit. At age 68 I tripped just over two weeks ago, very heavily on my left forehead plus ribs, knees, elbows etc etc. The bruising on my forehead came and then went into my eyelid and around the eye. It looked horrific. But I also have had a crisis of confidence and have thought about not running again. I think some of the responses to Harmit have put the risk into perspective for me and will help me to continue with the running I love to do.
Thank you everyone and best wishes Harmit for your continuing recovery.

What a thoughtful post.
Taking a knock to your confidence is hard, especially when an injury is involved as you naturally feel so cautious. Remind yourself of all your wonderful running experiences and the wonderful running highs you have experienced and hopefully it will help encourage you to get out there again. Best wishes and good luck to you too 😊.
Hi Fran6500, sorry to hear about your fall - I hope you’re continuing to recover. I’m glad our responses to hamit have helped - because of course they apply to you too, and to everyone else who has had a fall and found their confidence taking a nose dive. I hope you’re able to get back out there with your trainers on before too long! Best wishes!
Thank you. I do feel much better about things since reading the comments to Harmit. My running girls meet tomorrow morning so am seriously thinking of joining them. If not tomorrow, then on thursday. xx
