Back in hospital

So after twelve 5K runs since graduating from C25K on 3 July, frustrated at having to stop running for now after being admitted to hospital after passing out twice in the last five weeks, the second time on my birthday yesterday! Some concern over my low heart rate and blood pressure but undergoing a number of tests to try to establish the cause. Doctors are temporarily taking me off the Bisoprolol and Ramipril which I have been prescribed since my CABG x 3 last October. Also some talk of possibly needing to have a pacemaker fitted. Hoping I can get back to normal soon and get my running shoes back on.

So sorry to hear that. Not knowing is the worst part, hopefully they'll find out soon. All the best 🍀🌷

So sorry to hear that you are having a hard time. It is very difficult when the doctors can’t get the bottom of the problem. My mother has been suffering with similar problems for years. They seem to change the drugs every time she is admitted to hospital. I hope you get some results soon and can get back to running.

It s good that you are getting checked out by the experts Rayros21. I had high blood pressure before I started running but 5 months after graduation my GP Took me off candersarten (Ramipril made me cough).

It could be that running has helped your blood pressure too. Good luck.

Thank you very much. Have been taken off Bisoprolol and Ramipril for now and am being referred back to see a cardiologist for further investigations. In the meantime have been told to stick to brisk walking only. ☹
