So the organisers get evidence if needed from the endtoend strava club page.
What I have noticed is if I log a walk as a walk it doesn't show on there . So from now on I'm logging my dog walks as a run just to be on the safe side. πββοΈπΆββοΈπ

I believe that groups can decide what activities are seen, and so it looks like theyβre set to run only... I have the same with my running club. Changing them after the event will put your walks into the group feed... but will mess your stats up for other purposes of course.
Yep. Just checked my theory out. Groups have a sport and only activities in that sport show up... I assume triathlon groups show the three activity types... and if sport is set to βotherβ it shows every activity. End to End would have a bigger issue setting to other as cycle rides would then show.
Buddy, as I understand it, it is the way Strava is set up, they donβt recognise walks, hikes etc as exercise! So they never show on group leaderboards. They do however show in the βfeed β, so the End to End admin can see them if they have to. Saying that I now am logging all my exercise as runs, (I only have Strava) then I can see my total mileage for the week easily.
They can see walks, it just doesn't show up on the summary. I have seen an explanation from Tori. If I can find it again I will share it here.
I have also seen confirmation of what I suspected - they don't check the evidence unless there is a dispute, most likely between the competitive runners. I couldn't see them looking at about 3800 runners on LeJog3. If it was me I would just check those going for gold (ie finishing within 3 months) .
As said before, anyone cheating is only cheating themselves and we have already established that we are not going to cheat, haven't we? Unless we are 10 miles short at the end of the year
" If you are in our Strava Group AND your profile is public or allows anyone to view it, you don't need to upload evidence on the Map BUT you DO need to submit the miles on the map. We can see your activity from Strava. (It's worth noting that Strava groups do not show walking activity- this does not affect the challenge we can still see all activity but if you are a Strava junkie and want to see all your activity in the group you can change your walks to runs and they will show, but this is personally your choice.
