Was getting along quite nicely on my 39 min run this morning along a route that I've been using for a year. Got stopped by the gamekeeper who normally just gives me a wave from a distance. He said (and I already knew) that part of the track is designated as a shooting area and I shouldn't be on it.
He wasn't unpleasant even when I said I might not change my route as the narrow roads and uneven footpaths are probably a higher risk to an old lady like me. I haven't heard shooting in the area since COVID struck but I suppose they might be hoping to start up again 😏😕

How annoying especially if you don't have any other suitable routes. I agree running on narrow roads would be a worry. Is there any way you can find when they shoot and avoid those days? If its an organised shoot it must be advertised somewhere.
I did ask. If it's pheasant shooting I'll hear them. He said the deer stalkers can go out on a whim from dawn onwards and they're quiet until they fire their shot! They'd have to be blind to mistake me for a dainty little deer 😂
