“Rest day bliss” now seems as crazy to my ears as “fun run” did a couple of years ago 🤣. My rest day too today, and I think I’ve survived it reasonably well... will have to wait to see if any solicitors serve papers on me for confirmation 🤣🤣
Sounds like a brilliant use of a rest day to me... and so good for families to do something together.
The water was lovely and so good to meet up with the kids, my grandchildren are hilarious, they went last night but i’d been at work all day then run then shopped and had reached my limit, granddaughter apparently said “we ought to get someone else to cook dinner tonight” and when daughter agreed it was a good idea asked who and the little minx said “ sent nannie a quick text i’m sure she would cook us up a vegetable pasta bake and bring it round” I’m still giggling at the cheek of her
Marathon was an alignment between Mars and Mars... the U.K. company called them one thing and the US one called them something else... if I recall correctly they were separate companies run by the same family. I guess was product placement is allowed there but was banned here (think it still is) it would have been an inevitable change as more and more US tv hit our screens, but they’d made the change already as it happens. That said, last time I was stateside their Mars bar was not the same as ours.
Just had a read on opal fruits... sorry... starburst! They’re vegan here... not even vegetarian in the USA. Life as a travelling vegan/veggie has never been easy.
No it certainly isn’t, although fruit is so much cheaper who would want sweets? i was in NY about ten years ago and bought a kilo of huge juicy cherries for a dollar when here they were about threequid for a little punnet of hard sour ones,
Just got back from day one week two 10k plan it’s awesome out there 79 degrees that’s almost 30 c
I spent a week living on boiled rice in Japan once... language barrier and fish in almost everything... nightmare at the time, I’m sure things have improved since then though, I’ve actually met a vegetarian from Japan since!
Nice running... I’ve only been up a couple of hours... gonna be running quite late today.
