Running rest day suggestions

To date, I haven’t done anything in particular on running rest days, but in a hotel for the next 10 days, it has a well equipped gym and a decent sized outside pool, so the question is, swim or gym? I am not a great swimmer and never really used gym equipment so both will be something of a challenge, any advice welcome

I'd do both. 20 mins of laps and maybe some time on a rower or cross trainer 🤔

Thanks, might have to try that, gives a whole new meaning to the phrase 'rest day'!

Well it's only a "rest" day... not a "stop" day. It gives us chance to do the rest!! 😉😁

A great exercise is to run in the pool. Try it, it's very hard but great strengthening for your lower limbs. In the gym, try the cycling and rowing machines. All complement running very well. If there is an instructor then ask them for a lesson on the weights otherwise keep to the cycling and rowing.

Thanks, will give that a go this weekend

Both. Swimming has really helped with my breathing during running.
