Decided to take the advice of others and do a bit of other stuff on non-running days, so ‘rowed’ 2km in 10 mins ‘rode a bike’ for 5 km in 10 mins then did a 3 km walk in just under 30 mins all without leaving the hotel gym! Getting a tad obsessive maybe, but enjoying it at the moment.

Think it will take a bit more than that to catch up with you my fleet footed friend, and as for sprinting will leave that to you young folk, a reasonably consistent trundle will do me!

I do circuits in the park on Saturday and hoping to squeeze in some swimming and yoga on rest days too 😎
