First, I haven’t been on here for months, so I hope everyone is well and not too badly affected by COVID.
Not sure if I’m allowed to post this, so please take it down mods, if it’s not ok.
My question is about my Garmin Vivoactive 3 charging cable. The last three or four times I’ve needed to use it, it hasn’t connected very well and I’ve had to balance it on something because I haven’t dared put it down. Do these cables fail quite easily? (I’ve worn the watch daily, and charged it twice a week on average since April 2018.) Looking online there seem to be lots of versions at a quarter the price of a genuine Garmin replacement. Will I regret trying to economise? I’m in France, where everything of this nature is more expensive.
Thanks in advance,
Lizz x

I have exactly the same problem with my Garmin 35 cable and have to resort to similar measures! I noticed last week that a small piece of plastic had broken off, so I will be in the market for a replacement too.. Agree with prices being high abroad, we are in Spain, I usually have to rely on Amazon!
Maybe its time to get a new charging cable. Also I would get this from Garmin and avoid any cheaper options. My reason for this is I bought a replacement strap for my garmin from ebay and it wouldnt fit properly and went in the bin. So its a waste of money. 😊👍
