Well done so far. Lots of choices. If you haven’t reached 5k by the end of 9 weeks then that could be your 1st step - most don’t make it so well done if you do. You want to then do some consolidation runs to bed in that distance. Then choice is yours. Stick at 5k, work on speed, move on to 10k. Whatever you decide, don’t rush it, take your time and enjoy yourself. Happy running 🤗
Thanks Grannyhugs,
I guess I got long legs because seemed to reach 5km a few weeks ago, it's kind of easy for me to push myself too hard and so I worry more about aiming too high, I think I want to get a steady 10km/h but maybe work up the time / distance a bit too, I'd like to have something to say when I have warmed up, run for 5 minutes, half way, and last 5 minutes?
If anyone any ideas?
I liked the music in the beginning but got a bit repetitive the last few weeks.
Great that you reached 5k, fantastic running. I run unplugged, just me and nature, bliss. You’ll crack 10k no problem. Ju ju’s plan is great, takes you steadily up to 10k without pushing the body to hard. Some people use the shorter runs for speed work, maybe using the steppingstones podcast. Good luck
