Has anyone used a chest based heart rate monitor and if so how do you find it?
I'm currently using a Fitbit which I know is highly inaccurate while running as it picks up my cadence rather than my pulse. I have been thinking about investing in a more accurate monitor especially as I am really into running now and I want to monitor my progress.
I am looking for one that will link to Strava. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thank you in advance.
Happy running everyone.

I always wear a HR monitor linked to my Garmin. There is a lot said about devices picking up cadence but in my case it's just that my running HR is very high and matches my cadence. I believe modern fitness trackers are pretty accurate and less likely to muddle HR and cadence. Happy running 🤗
I use a Polar H10. I have found that optical HRMs are inaccurate for me, at least, other than at low heart rates. I don't use Strava, but the Polar apps appear to have links to it and others. I like the Polar Flow app and also the Polar Beat.
Thank you. I have looked at the Polar H10 and some of the reviews are encouraging for the accuracy.
I certainly don't feel unwell when I am running but feel that I could get an accurate measurement to tailor my training, especially as I look to increase my distances.
